Abstract
Artificial Poetics is a project that explores the potential of generative artificial intelligence as a tool for audiovisual creation. This initiative stems from the rapid advancement of intelligent systems based on machine learning and deep learning, which are becoming increasingly prevalent in everyday and professional contexts. In the creative industries, generative artificial intelligence has raised numerous questions, particularly regarding the role of creators and the new creative possibilities that may emerge. This project aims to use these questions as a starting point to understand the potential of these technologies in creative fields, thereby revealing new forms of expression that arise from the integration of these tools in design and audiovisual creation. This project aims to generate knowledge in creative fields from a design perspective, proposing the development of technical skills, deepening theoretical understandings, and investigating pedagogical methodologies for teaching generative artificial intelligence tools in academic contexts. Additionally, Artificial Poetics invites reflection on what it means to be a creator in the 21st century, recognizing computers as active participants in creation and viewing creations as collaborations between humans and machines. Within audiovisual creation practices, this project proposes to explore new creative horizons, bridging traditional models and new techniques of expression. In essence, the project seeks to highlight the vital need for humans to find new means of artistic expression and the ongoing appropriation of emerging technologies to achieve this goal.
