Abstract
This study evaluates the impact of innovative pedagogical approaches on enhancing sustainable farming practices among farmers in Kumbotso LGA, Kano State, Nigeria. It explores the effectiveness of participatory teaching, experiential learning, and ICT-based learning methods, aiming to address the barriers posed by limited resources and financial constraints. Using a mixed-methods approach, including quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, the research evaluates the effectiveness of these educational strategies. The findings indicate that participatory teaching and experiential learning significantly improve farmers’ knowledge and practice adoption, while ICT-based learning faces limitations due to infrastructural challenges. The results underscore the need for affordable, contextually relevant educational strategies to promote sustainable agriculture in Nigeria.
