The existing body of work on plagiarism and academic integrity is acknowledged while presenting case for ChatGPT. The importance of leadership as foundational support mechanics, character development as a safeguard, and authentic assessment as a facilitator is emphasized. ChatGPT can be exploited for cheating in university exams but can also be employed to enhance deep learning and improve learning outcomes for students.
