Abstract

ChatGPT as an artificial intelligence (AI) application, also known as Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer has raised concerns among educators trying to verify the authenticity of students’ work. We consider using Ai positively to create supportive learning environment for students with moral values. The existing body of work on plagiarism and academic integrity is acknowledged while presenting case for ChatGPT. The importance of leadership as foundational support mechanics, character development as a safeguard, and authentic assessment as a facilitator is emphasized. ChatGPT can be exploited for cheating in university exams but can also be employed to enhance deep learning and improve learning outcomes for students. The study reviews opportunities for practitioners and also offers a potential research avenue for scholars.
