AI and the Future of Education: The New Normal in Education

Abstract

This paper explores the findings of a survey on attitudes toward Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its transformative impact on education, student recruitment, and retention. Leveraging a convenience sample of LinkedIn.com members, the study utilized SurveyMonkey.com for data collection and analysis. A literature review of Theories of Digital Learning reveals a lack of consensus on the optimal theoretical framework for this emerging educational modality. The paper further examines the intersection of AI and academic integrity, offering actionable strategies for educators to navigate this evolving landscape. By bridging empirical insights with theoretical considerations, this work provides a critical foundation for understanding and shaping the role of AI in the future of education.
