I am using one to one device where student holds his/her own ipad in the classroom. Here is what i find,

- student has equal access to resources in the class. This makes sure that everyone is on the same page

- student is able to respond all at the same time. This makes sure that every student is engaged

- students' collaboration is enhanced. sometimes, we make them work in group, using collabroative documents

- student's learning ability and diverse learning style is accommodated.

In short, the use of one on one transforms classroom discourse.
