  Caitlin McMunn Dooley, Ph.D., is Deputy Superintendent for Teaching and Learning in Georgia. She has worked as an elementary teacher, teacher educator, educational researcher, and professor. Since earning degrees at the University of Virginia and University of Texas, Dr. Dooley has authored over 50 publications and led and evaluated funded research projects totalling over $18 million. Her research investigates literacy learning and instruction, digital literacies, computer science education, and education policy. A writer for the National K-12 Computer Science Frameworks, Dooley has been the Principal Investigator for several National Science Foundation grants for computer science education and learning technologies. She has served on several Boards, including the National Council of Teachers of English, Literacy Research Association, Georgia's Brain Trust for Babies, the Get Georgia Reading Campaign Cabinet, and Decatur Makers.
