Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, effective, and practical adult learning model as an alternative learning pattern in training applied at the Education Quality Assurance Institute in Central Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. The developed learning model is expected to motivate participants and increase the role of the training teacher as a facilitator, so this model is named the Model of Facilitation and Collaborative Motivation (MFCM). The development of the MFCM uses the ADDIE model, which includes the following steps: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. The developed MFCM has the following steps: (1) orientation, (2) alignment, (3) exploration, and (4) collaboration. The results show that the MFCM has met the valid, effective, and practical criteria. The trials carried out in learning two training subjects from the principal strengthening training show that the implementation of the developed MFCM is in the very effective and practical category. The effectiveness of the implementation of the MFCM based on the results of the responses in the two training subjects is 4.64 and 4.77 on a scale of 5, so it is in the very effective category. As to the practicality, based on the results of observations in the two training subjects, it is 4.47 and 4.69 on a scale of 5, so it is in the very practical category.
